4 DAYS FULL OF ACTION AND ACTIVITIES
Day 1: The Asian Dairy Market, Dairy Physiology, and Management
The course begins with an in-depth look at the Asian dairy market, exploring current trends, future demands, and evolving consumer expectations. Differences between local Asian dairy systems and global models are examined, along with the impact of market dynamics and regulatory standards. In the afternoon, the focus shifts to dairy physiology, reproduction, and production cycles, providing a strong foundation for effective herd management.
Day 2: Production Systems, Dairy Nutrition, and Feeding Strategies
This session covers various dairy production systems and their efficiencies. Participants will gain insights into the fundamentals of dairy nutrition, including the role of forages, grains, by-products, and feed additives in ration formulation. The afternoon introduces different feeding systems such as Total Mixed Rations (TMRs), pelleted feeds, mash, liquid feed, and blocks, emphasizing their impact on dairy productivity.
Day 3: Farm Visit – Practical Applications of Dairy Management

A full day is dedicated to hands-on learning at a commercial dairy farm, providing real-world insights into production and herd management. Participants will observe best practices in herd health, biosecurity, environmental stress management, and animal welfare. Practical demonstrations will reinforce key concepts learned in the classroom, ensuring a deeper understanding of effective dairy farm operations.
Day 4: Feed Formulation, Performance Metrics, and Profitability
The final day focuses on optimizing dairy nutrition through effective feed formulation strategies. Participants will learn how to enhance herd health through better nutrition while maximizing feed efficiency. The course concludes with an overview of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), demonstrating how data-driven insights can improve productivity and profitability in dairy farming.
