4 DAYS FULL OF ACTION AND ACTIVITIES

Day 1: Modern Standards, Trends, and Performance Optimization

​The course begins with an exploration of modern layer production standards, focusing on key performance indicators for pullets and layers. Participants will analyze market trends, consumer expectations for egg quality, and production methods suitable for tropical climates. Understanding these factors allows for the establishment of realistic performance targets and strategies to achieve them.

Day 2: Nutrition, Genetic Potential, and Health Management

This session delves into the fundamentals of layer nutrition, covering key raw materials, feed formulation, and manufacturing processes tailored to different growth and production stages. The afternoon shifts to disease prevention and health management, addressing critical production-limiting diseases such as Marek’s, Newcastle’s, and Infectious Bursal Disease. Effective biosecurity and flock husbandry practices will be discussed to ensure long-term productivity and profitability.

​A hands-on learning experience at a leading Thai layer integrator provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of commercial egg production. The visit includes a facility tour of an egg processing plant, an egg grading plant, and a layer farm, offering insights into biosecurity measures, operational challenges, and best management practices from both a production and marketing perspective.

Day 4: Advanced Nutrition, Feed Formulation, and Strategic Health Management
